  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Oh, I have money. I would never accept a donation for my hobby. I will pay for your time, materials AND shipping. Looking forward to that "Banner Ad" up here on MFK. When your ready to sell I will be one of the first in a long line.

I can't wait for the banner add Also !

When they become avaiable I will buy one too !

Awesome idea, and will be a great product. Please keep us posted. I have five projects of my own that this would solve instantly.

5??? !!! LOL I have 3. I got some 6 foot tanks standing on end in my garage conserving space LOL but you have 5! Good I'm not the weirdest one LOL

My only concern is the longevity of this product in the clarity area. I'm sure it will hold water for years but will it be clear for years? I hope to be one of the first to test this :)

I remember there is a giant 4000 gallon plywood tank on here that the owner is having problems finding a good liner for it but it has a clear viewing window but the plywood on it leaks. That would be interesting to try something like this new idea on it.

Would it be possible to build a liner like this for something as big a giant swimming pool with viewing windows built into the side of it. This liner could also help save several giant 1000 plus gallon cinder block tanks on here that their owners tried to build but could never find away to close up the tiny dripping leaks on them.

Did those people paint the inside of their tanks?

...well the gel didn't work for nothing. I think I have to thin it out a little. I'll give it a day to settle in and try again tomorrow.

Oops, sorry I missed that part of your post. The vinyl comes in 54" wide rolls, so there would be a number of seams throughout a pool sized liner. The wall height of most pools is under 54" so you wouldn't have a seam going through your viewing area. I would probably recommend welding heavy gauge pond grade vinyl to the clear vinyl to allow it to stretch in place a little better. Also the pond grade vinyl would be black, so you wouldn't have to paint the inside of the pool.
