Mega clear vinyl prototype tank build (concept building)

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
This is a very intresting idea, I would be intrested in smaller interconected system of 10 g wall mounted tanks for keeping bettas, but like said before it has to be an open top. Also making some kind of a wire frame to keep it somewhat rectandular would i think give it more of an aquarium look.

I'm going to have to put off development until after the liner season. Maybe I'll be able to get back on it in the Summer. The wall mounted tank is holding up very well though and all the fish seem to be happy.

It looks like my severums are going to breed soon so I'll probably put the fry in it.

See ya in a few months.

Re-typed my original post. After first browsing the thread and looking at the pictures I thought this was going to be an all vinyl tank idea with no supporting walls. I was thinking no way! that is to scary.. But just went and read through some of the posting and see its a liner for a walled plywood tank. I like the idea. Is the your clear vinyl potable? can you get it in different colors? like black. Do you know if silicone can bond to it.

Okay, I've decided to give the 700 gallon tank away. The tank must be picked up in Hackensack, NJ 07601. If you are interested send me a PM stating what you intend to do with the tank. I will want to get pictures and possibly visit the tank as an R&D measure.

I am interested in seeing it in use outside. I wish I had time and space to set the tank up myself, but I have conceded that isn't going to happen.

So, if anyone is interested, let me know. It measures approx 4' x 6' x 4' tall

This pictures is when we first set it up it doesn't look quite as pretty--the steel has rusted a little and the vinyl has bulged much more due to the warm weather we had here a few weeks ago.
