  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Hello,

I just want to inform that water in my tank is finally perfect. Thank you everyone for help ! special thanks for Bderick67 !

Before everything I had:
Ammonia - 0 ppm (mg/L)
Nitrite - 1.0 ppm (mg/L)
Nitrate - 0-5.0 pom (mg/L)
PH - 6.7/6.9
Temp - 82F
Cloudiness water, not clear.

Day 1. 02-28-2009. Changed 1/2 water. I added Prime x2 (Removes Chlorine, Chloramine, Ammonia; Detoxifies Nitrite and Nitrate) and some Azoo bacteria. I added some Black Water.

Ammonia - 0 ppm (mg/L)
Nitrite - 0.5 ppm (mg/L)
Nitrate - 0 ppm (mg/L)
Cloudiness water, not clear.

Day 2. 03-01-2009. Changed 20-30% water. Added Prime x2.

Ammonia - 0-0.25 ppm (mg/L)
Nitrite - 1 ppm (mg/L)
Nitrate - 5 ppm (mg/L)
Cloudiness water, not clear.

Day 3. 03-02-2009. Changed 20-30% water. Added Prime x2. I added 450ml Nutrafin Cycle - bacteria !!! - 1st time.

Ammonia - 0 ppm (mg/L)
Nitrite - 1 ppm (mg/L)
Nitrate - 10 ppm (mg/L)
Cloudiness water, not clear.

Day 4. 03-03-2009. Changed 20-30% water. Added Prime x2. I added 180ml Nutrafin Cycle - bacteria !!! - 2nd time.

Ammonia - 0 ppm (mg/L)
Nitrite - 1 ppm (mg/L)
Nitrate - 5 ppm (mg/L)
Cloudiness water, not clear.

Day 5. 03-04-2009. Changed 20-30% water. Added Prime x2. I added 180ml Nutrafin Cycle - bacteria !!! - 3rd time.

Ammonia - 0-0.25 ppm (mg/L)
Nitrite - 0.5 ppm (mg/L)
Nitrate - 5 ppm (mg/L)
Cloudiness water, not clear.

Day 6. 03-05-2009. Changed 20-30% water. Added Prime x2.

Ammonia - 0 ppm (mg/L)
Nitrite - 1 ppm (mg/L)
Nitrate - 10 ppm (mg/L)
Cloudiness water, not clear.

Day 7. 03-06-2009. Changed 40-45% water. Added Prime x2.

Ammonia - 0 ppm (mg/L)
Nitrite - 0.5 ppm (mg/L)
Nitrate - 5 ppm (mg/L)
Less cloudiness water, still not clear.

Day 8. 03-07-2009. Changed 30-40% water. Added Prime x2.

Ammonia - 0 ppm (mg/L)
Nitrite - 1 ppm (mg/L)
Nitrate - 5 ppm (mg/L)
Better water condition, but still not perfect clear.

Day 9. 03-08-2009. Changed 30% water. Added Prime x2.

Ammonia - 0 ppm (mg/L)
Nitrite - 0.5 ppm (mg/L)
Nitrate - 5 ppm (mg/L)
Water is more clear, no cloud.

Day 10. 03-09-2009. Changed 30% water. Added Prime x2.

Ammonia - 0 ppm (mg/L)
Nitrite - 0.25 ppm (mg/L)
Nitrate - 5 ppm (mg/L)
Clean water no cloud.

Day 11. 03-10-2009. Changed 30% water. Added Prime x2.

Ammonia - 0 ppm (mg/L)
Nitrite - 0 ppm (mg/L)
Nitrate - 5 ppm (mg/L)
PH - 6.8
Temp - 82F

All fishes are OK -10 Clown Loaches, 1 Pleco and 1 Black Arowana. Now water is very clean and clear. Ufff...

Thanks again !

Good to hear, you may still see a little nitrites, but likely you are going to be good. Rough way to cycle a tank, lucky for your aro that you were doing the daily water changes from near the start.

Not sure if the Nutrafin Cycle product really helped or not, since you were already partially cycled but I'm sure it didn't hurt any.

I don't know either, but it takes only 7 days to make a good water... after I added Nutrafin. What do you think ?

Going off your water test results before the NF Cycle was added. You had very low ammonia, so you definetly had the bacteria in your tank that consumed the ammonia and produced nitrite. You aslo had nitrates being produced, so there was also some bacteria consuming nitrite and producing nitrate.

Adding the NF Cycle probably did help and excellerated the process. I guess there would have had to been two tanks tested to really confirm the results.
