Mermaid documentary, real or fake?

Has anyone watched "mermaids: the body found" on animal planet? It is supposed to be a faux documentary. But it still scared the living daylight a out of me. They even talked to scientists (though I was reading a wiki article and it said paid actors). What do you guys think about aquatic humanoids?

At the end it says they're paid actors not scientists. It's a mockumentary
