"Why couldn't she be the other kind of mermaid? With the fish part on the top and the human part on the bottom!"

~Philip J. Fry (I just watched this episode last night)

Honestly... how can you say you dont believe in a mermaid type species? You do realize the ocean is not even a fraction explored? With in the last 10 years 3 new species of open ocean swimming whales were discovered and there 30+ feet.. how can't a 80-150 pound human like fish not be out there? Just because we haven't seen it out there doesn't mean its not real... there's no physical proof in a lot of things but we still believe in them .. if you what I'm referrring to

I'm pretty confident that they don't exist. Just because there's a lot of weird fish out there doesn't mean that there's any evidence of a mamal-fish hybrid of any type. Let alone humanoid.

I think there would be something that APPEARS human like but not human like as in the little mermaid .. but more like a thing that resembles are upper body with hands then bottom half flipper . All I know is one day I bet we find things we never thought was still there and or ever existed .
