Mermaids?

I think they might be real. That animal planet documentary was intresting. Think about it....if they were half human they would be smarter than any animal in the ocean. Smart enough to know how to hide from us. They would have no benifit from interacting with us. I bet i could hide from a mermaid on land easily. So i bet they easily hide from us.
I have no evidence and yes i agree the mermaid footage was fake in the documentary but......i would rather keep an open mind because i have no actual evidence.

Roflmao, it wasn't a documentary. It was a mockumentary. A fake story with hired actors and CGI exploring theories
Now, sure we haven't explored all of the ocean but you'd agree that we've explored most of shallow waters and shores though right? Well, wouldnt a mermaid as portrayed by folklore have to live in shallow water? It would have to, otherwise it'd have to look different as it'd need to have a ton of blubber to withstand colder water.
In today's world full of marine biologist, divers, sonar research and unmanned drones, you really think there's mermaids? Not even a single tool, fossil or skeleton found. It's okay to think like a child when you're a child but for goodness sake grow up

I think with all of evolution's quirks an aquatic ape of sorts is not out of the realm of possibility. If such a creature does exist I hope it is never discovered.
The only thing that got me thinking in that documentary were the pictures of the tuna with spears in them. I thought that was a little odd
