Metal: Rock on!!!

That's cool Rakie. Not enough metal bands come up this way, luckily my friends bands are pretty awesome so I get to go to their concerts. Filming a couple of the bands for future DVD releases as well. One of the bands is opening up for Putrid Pile in October. Putrid Pile is a one man grindcore band. Pretty cool stuff and the song names are great. :D

Didn't know the guys in Faceless had Jazz training, that's interesting, goes to show it doesn't pay off to follow just one genre, take a bit from each and mold it into your own and you could end up with one awesome band.

I've been listening to a lot of White Zombie/Rob Zombie lately so it spurred me to ask....Did any of you enjoy the movies that he's put out so far. I really enjoy both House of 1,000 Corpses and The Devil's Rejects with the latter having a little more organization to the story. I'm looking forward to Halloween!

Yeah those movies were pretty damn awesome. Remember in 1,000 corpses when he takes the dads face off and goes give daddy a kiss come give daddy a kiss to the daughter.

Nah I really disliked house of 1,000 corpses. A HUGE Texas Chainsaw Massacre rip off. Didn't watch the Devil's Rejects because disgusted by the house even though I heard it was a lot better. Rob Zombie's first cd is his only good solo act. It is in no way comparable to White Zombie however.

I remember reading somewhere that 1,000 corpses was supposed to be a "tribute' of sorts to all those old horror movies, ie Texas chainsaw, last house on the left, stuff like that. defiantly watch the devils rejects though. Its really good. And I'll agree, his solo stuff doesn't measure up to white zombie.

I am seeing Trivium and Arch Enemy in the Black Crusade tour and Megadeth, Static X and Lacuna Coil at Gigantour.

All at the end of the year :headbang2

Loved the movies. The first time I watched House of 1000 Corpses I hated it, but then since I'm a sucker for punishment I watched it a second time but then I found myself enjoying it, and then the third time I watched it I loved it. All 3 times were in the theatre, then I had to go buy it the day it came out. Same with Devil's Rejects but I loved that movie during the first watching. The beginning gun fight was AWESOME.

I can't wait for his version of Halloween. At first I was skeptical but then I realized Hollywood would've made a remake anyways so I'm glad they got someone like Rob to do it and not Uwe Boll  In a recent interview Rob was saying that the company didn't care what Rob did with the movie including that they didn't even care if he used the same mask or outfit or anything. That's just scary how they were willing to piss on a legendary horror movie like that.
