hmmm.

Sepultura was good when Max was in the band. Really stopped listening to them after Roots. Soulfly is good. Their last couple of cds really didn't grab my attention. Old metal is...old its not even that heavy. The only good thing about BLS is that Zakk Wylde is in the band, other than that, can't stand them. Seen them 4 years in a row at Ozzfest. Really don't think they diserve mainstage performance but whatever.

Hey it's your opinion but I think BLS is an amazing band and well put together. All of them are great musicians but as I said your opinion is yours so... Also what don't you like about them? just curious because i think your the only metal head i have talked to that doesn't like BLS lol .

Really just not my style I spose. I used to like them however. Just grew out of the older metal phase I guess.

That's funny Steve-89. I hated Mastadon before I saw them open for Slayer last year. They're performance last year won me over and I grabbed both their albums. Definitely surprised me.

I also saw Mastodon when they opened for Slayer.

All I can say is...thank god Slayer absolutely kick ass still after all these years.

Otherwise I would have wasted my money.

Have you heard that max and his brother igor are doin a new band now? i think the working name is inflicted or something. havent heard anything yet, but max has said its has a big punk influence. should be good.

See, i think the opposite about BLS. No doubt zakk is a great guitar player, but the solos, to me, are to show offy. Plus he does those annoying squeals in every song, whether his own or with ozzy. His singing voice is just ok to me.

Anyone here like Pig Destroyer? Their new one is really good to.

They are good.

But there are better metal bands out there that dont get as much publicity.

Z.W is what makes BLS what they are.

Those so called annoying squeals are called pinch harmonics and I think it's great he has a style like no other. I mean come on who else finger picks in metal solos. It's hard to find some one that will do that and make it sound as great as him. He is one of my guitar idols. He has really been an inspiration in my guitar playing. I think he is truely a unique and wonderful guitar player. He's a little cocky but I guess it comes with the way he lives. I met him a bunch of times and he's not like you think he is actually very nice and pleasent to be around, not disgusting and ruthless like his image. I usually tend to stay to older metal. Oh and EvilxYard how can you grow out of a certain type of metal it's impossible LOL.
