Off topic but how did you do the tile in this tank? I'd like to do tile in my ray tank, but I'm afraid they'll stuff crap under the tiles as the tank is already running and I can't take it down to do this
Yeah I tile all of my tanks. Some crud does get under but ultimately it's quite limited. I never clean under there except when I move the tank (rarely). The amount of debris that gets trapped over the course of years is completely negligible.
Look for tiles with a relatively flat and even back surface to reduce trapping.
Can you show me a picture of what kind of backing the tile is that you use? Would love to do this!
Not too savvy on the specifics to be honest. Unfortunately I don't have extra pieces outside of the tank to take pics of. But all standard tiles are pretty flat.
