MFK is too PG-13

Anybody else agree or disagree that MFK is a bit over doing it w/ PG-13 style? It seems you have the flamers ragging on other peoples stuff. (1) Your not that person get over it & mind your own. (2) Way too much sensorship in cutting post & threads, because somebody else doesn't tune to it woopie doo.

I seen a guy get a thread removed, because in an opinion is distasteful of feeding a live fish. Don't like it don't go into it or watch a video, just so you can opininate on it with smarta** comments or busting chops. Next! And how come i get my post deleted or moderated chopped with nothing bad in them just help & advice. Annoying!

Some of the "terms of use" are based on a moderators opinion, nothing more. Differences are what makes the world go 'round, not conformity!

I agree to terms of use, but in sensorship seems a bit much over nothing. I'm not saying this sites bad. Other than what's above just true opinions no flaming ect. not a fire storm over it either. In the end an opinion just an opinion.

i dont think it is, sometimes i think 'there was no need for that' but then i can see how it can be offensive to others.

way i see it is they r covering their ***s for if something did happen.

sometimes i think, id love to be able to swear even theough no other words could fill in that space lol but then think if my kid was on here, although the kids are prob worse than all of us lol i wouldnt want her seeing it.

iv had 'damn' starred out on AC lol which i did think was a bit too far.

and a F.A.G over here is a ciggarette and i smoke so whenever i said i was running out for one i would have to use 'im going for a smoke' lol things like that get me but i can understand why they r in use.

Not sure I understand . . . I mean, if it is about swearing and curse words, well, there really isn't much need for that in a polite forum about fish keeping.

Some of the posters do bring some strong opinions to their posts, but then again, if you don't like the post, there is no need to pay it any attention.

I suppose everyone is left to exercise their best judgment.

i don't really care much if my post gets deleted or edited, yeah its annoying but at the end of the day you really can't do much about it but accept it. there are really young kids on here and i suppose the mods just do it so the kids aren't influenced in the wrong way and just to keep the peace.

Every situation calls for respect and dignity, even in on-line communities. If you have to resort to harsh talking and profanities, then you're not really getting your point across in the first place. This is a place for friendly and intelligent discussion. No need for harsh language or personal attacks. If you have something to say, say it, but say it with some intelligence, respect and you shouldn't have posts that disappear. There is no need for anything more than PG-13.

Yes i know what you mean being covered. It's the moderators job too do what they do & i have no problem with anybody except a life banned i got for calling out a fake profile turned out too be my ex messing with my stuff, so i had too write MFK & explain i was legit being a new member it felt shotty. I do a have a son 7 months old born a preemie, so i wouldn't want to see anybodies kid picking bad things up.

I know that it's all based judgement, as you said but little things just get too me over time. I am a laid back short fuse, but mean no harm or creating problems. For me i guess feels like a kids forum when you can't express yourself 100%.

You can express yourself however you want. If it's not within the limits that you agreed to when you clicked "I agree" then it might get deleted. I'm very foul mouthed and offensive, but I don't have to let that spew from my fingers onto the screen in an attempt to be a keyboard warrior. I'm not sure why having anything more than a PG13 rating is necessary.

At the end of the day, if the worst thing that happened to you is to have a post deleted you're in pretty good shape IMO.
