MFK Pearl Rays...Lets see them.

3-4 years ago Pearls were for sale here in the US by a number of members and vendors. But interest wasn't there and prices dropped dramatically. There are still some out there but some just don't post much/don't frequent the board or aren't on any forums.
 
Problem is limited gene pool. Hard to trust people to sell you unrelated rays when telling you they aren't sure about parents could result in a lost sale. Of course you're going to be told they are "unrelated". Almost all the Pearls over here came from the same place.

Is that what drove the price down? Last WCs I saw were still fetching rediculous money.

Tis the ray game...... IF they were actually available over here no one would want them. We only want what we can't have...... Sad but true.

I see. Well looks like ill be breeding (if it happens) for my own enjoyment. And I too am very much against breeding siblings so if I do get any pups they will all be sold or separated. Id love however to get some UK pearls in the mix. Not impossible.... let see what's in store.

However if something is nice enough people will want them. For example Bds are very available and still fetch a hefty price. Personally before I found this pair I didn't want pearls from what was available either.

Pete is correct as this is one of my pups from my full 100% pearl parents which are the parents of my new post on my stunning girl...they always have one or two in the litter with this pattern !!I have one in her new litter now.parents of my parents are from Neil at PIER AQUATICS which are also 100% full pearl !! ;)
