Another mention, I've noticed that when aros are separated and left in isolation of other arowanas for awhile, their social skills decrease.
When I raised my silver arowana by himself for awhile and introduced him into a tank with my cousin's, he was really aggressive, despite growing up with a sibling 6 months earlier.
we are for the most part counting on you to give us info.. alot of multiple arow owners know the secret.. and they have the gift... of fishkeeping.. but most of us like me have one.. so keep us posted and best of luck..

Yesterday I joined the 2 or more club. I rescued an aro that isn't in very good shape. I paid way to much for him but the guy is going to sell me his 220 on payments. I apologize for the pics this basement has no lighting.
i hope he does okay.. they say 2 is a big risk.. but maybe your original one has a good attitude.. the other guy will be fine if he is allowed to mend.. beaten up i quess.. hope it works out ... i will keep my fingers crossed.. wish you the best.

Thats what i want to hear.. i want that guy to look his beautiful self again for you..make you proud.. he is worth it.. and your great to have bought him and gave him this chance.. hope he is eating .. that always helps...

So far he hasn't eaten that I've seen. The guy said he's never fed him feeders. He only fed Tetra Cichlid sticks I tried feeding some of those no luck. My silver has grown up on Hikari food sticks thanks Koji and Bio Gold. My Aro is only a couple months older than this one but you can see a huge difference in size. I think Koji is on to something with the Hikari I will never complain about the price again.

i feed as a staple only Hikari.. everything else as treats.. yes yours is perfection.. how long have you had the new guy.. it may take awhile because of what he has been through.. has he eaten after getting beating.. he is still under alot of stress.. new tank etc..

I picked him up at 4:30 yesterday he was in a 220 with about 10 Frontosa.
The man said they never bothered him. I sat there for about an hour and watched the fish he stayed at top they at bottom. I hope its not fin rot or something else. The tank was crystal clear with 3 Aquaclear 110's for filtration. I just couldn't see anything other than those fish beating on him. I just knew I had to try to save him. He swims normally I just pulled some food sticks out that he didn't eat and he wasn't scared. He let me touch him with the net and just swam normally.
