Where da pics!

There's some pics below without the flash but they are coming out really "grainy".. I have no clue what I am doing with a camera so I shot a quick vid instead.... that is also grainy... :duh: meh you get the idea. Check out the "shimmer" on the walls and floor. Please forgive the gigantic heater in the 10 gallon, I need to order an inline one and a tiny UV.

Great looking light fixture! Love the shimmer effect your getting.

Does anyone know of any other in-line heater other than Hydor's ETH? I've owned an ETH for almost 2 years and it works great.

Wow, that's a lot brighter on the 120 than I was expecting especially given what everyone has been saying about them being underpowered lately. I definitely think I'm going to have to give it a try.

Thanks man!

Also, JK, do you know if that Lapis Lustre sand is only available where you are, or do they distribute nationally? I really like the look of that sand, being slightly darker than the pool filter sand, and wanted to try it out if I could find it local and not have to have it shipped.

Looks great to me.

Thanks Jeff! You going to head over this week and check them out for yourself? IMO the 36" fixture would look AWESOME on your 33 gallon.

Thanks Winston! I love the shimmer too, very neat affect. When I ordered the lights I actually ordered that exact 300watt inline heater for my 120 gallon along with an 18watt UV although I have yet to hook it up..

I will look and see what the smallest inline heater they make is, I would like a tiny UV as well. If you find any links, post em up please! I should start a different thread for that 120 gallon, I am overhauling, the overhaul I just did a few months back. :D

I would add this light to your tank in a heartbeat bro. If you don't care about stats and just want a nice fixture with clean lighting and reasonable price, these are it! Like I mentioned in the other thread I just wish they made an actuall 48" wide fixture :( but these are nice too.

The Lapis Lustre is for sure the best sand on the planet. Not cheap but why skimp out on something so important (espacially in an earth eater tank) like substrate? I am not sure on distributers, you have to ask bro Google. I use the Lapis Lustre #1C if that helps. I know in Seattle you can pick up a couple hundered pounds for around $50 though.. I'm thinking of doing a road trip and stocking up.

I found a supplier for the sand, $14.11 for 100lb !!!

Fortunately, they have a location that's about 10 minutes from my house.

Unfortunately, that location apparently can't order the sand :irked:.

So I'm pricing shipping for 2x 100lb bags. I'm guessing shipping will probably cost 2-3 times as much as the dang sand itself will :irked:.
