Right on I am stoked for you! We need pics!! I wish I could take photos like you added :(

I'm not that great of a photographer. The gear helps more than the person hitting the button :)

Here's a pic of the 2x 24" double brights installed on my 60 gallon.

And here is my progress on my 100 gallon upgrade. The tank and stand arrived at my LFS yesterday and I spent a couple hours cutting and fitting this bg in the tank.

Justin, I have to give you props because I devoured your thread on your multiple tank builds last night before I even dared started hacking this background up. I ended up scoring it and snapping it in three places to get it to fit in the tank to get around my center brace.

And bonus shot... my favorite Cyn. "Lion" Mara Rocks.

He's still a juvie and just recently started showing color. I stocked this tank with 35 juvies in Jan.

Anyway, back on topic, these LED lights are great and I'm glad you are happy with your purchase! Can't wait to get my 100 all set up :headbang2

I have my 20 gallon with a 3D background! Who made this official buddy? I think a GREAT contest would be to have a mini-monster tank competition at some point. Would be a lot of fun. :D

Your 20 gallon have aquaponics? How bout a Eheim canister or LED's or inline heat and UV coming? ;) lol seriously though bro that is is a smokin good idea about the contest! I didn't know you had it in you! So proud [tears up]

^ this is what MFK is all about right here bro. You giving advice and pics on lighting to others and getting to dig through their threads for ideas on you set ups, awesome! :grinno: I am glad you found some use of my thread too.

It is a great thread to read through. I think you now have the most experience with design by nature backgrounds aside from Matt himself!

Hey dotbomb, what are the dimensions of that 100g, and which background is that? I really like it...

I'm getting a 100g tank this weekend, the dim's are 48x24x21.

I love all the DBN backgrounds and once they finally release the 30" tall series I'll be one of the first to order

They already have ;) they got the container in two weeks ago. Hop on DBN's site and look at the mangrove (the BG on my 300) it now comes in 36" tall as well. I wish I would have waited to order mine..

I really wish they showed ALL the backgrounds in a tank with water. They look so much different once they're underwater with tank lighting on them...

No aquaponics, because I have the ability to grow aquatic plants IN a tank. ;)

I DO have a 33 gallon with a Rena XP3, high watt fixtures with LED moonlights, a tank of pressurized co2, and filtered by an XP3. :D

Oh, and my 20 gallon will soon have LEDs and NO heater.
