Yeah, but an LED will give the same effect, eat way less electricity, and not need expensive bulb replacements. ;)
They come in the same style as the metal halide lamps if you want to hang them, or you can buy a fixture that sits on the rim.

Links, pics, you has em??? I can look them up just as easy as anyone else but I want to know what you guys would think looks awesome with this tank? I love the LED idea, never had them and have wanted to for a while.

Justin, I have the Marineland Single Bright LED on my 20g long that is lightly/low tech planted. The shimmer effect is nice and the light is perfect for me.

I liked them so much I bought 2 24" double bright versions for a new 100g build I'm doing.

The 18" single bright is $49.99 at petsolutions. The 18" double bright is $64.99.

Not only are they LED but they are a nice compact design. Very short profile.

Thanks for the heads up! Could I ask you to post a pic of your setup here? I would love to see the light fixture. Thanks! :D

Thank tank is sick!!!! Nice job and thanks for the pics! I would buy that in a heartbeat. Does it come with a moonlight by chance? I think that is exactly what I am looking for. Everything I have seen that mounts over the tank looks tacky, this portion can be over the open area and will look sleek. Thanks again for posting.

Thanks for the kudos!

Yeah it has moonlight. Sorry didn't think to snap pics in that mode. I'll try to get some later.

Oh I forgot to mention. You can completely remove the legs and lay it flat on a glass cover too if you prefer. My lights cycled off on the timer. I'll get some moonlight shots tomorrow.

That is the brand I was going to recommend for your 10. I've heard guys with bigger tanks complain about them but for a 10 it should be perfect. They're nice and sleek too and I believe they do have moonlights. :)

very nice project, so what happened of that pot?

I covered it in foam and it looks like poo lol.. I'll probably start a different thread on new ideas to dress up clay pots, leave this thread specific to my dad's tank. :D

Alright bro you sold me ;) so would you recommend the single bright or double bright? I am ready to order now so LMK what you guys think. Also could you measure the fixture itself? I don't want it hanging over the edges of the tank, the tank is only 20" wide.

DFS has the single bright for $42.49 with free timer.

The double bright for $79.99 no free timer though :( but it does look cooler..
