Thanks! I am swapping out the fixture for a coralife pendant with a 150w HQI tomorrow. The current fixture on the tank is not designed to sit atop a corner tank, and I don't need the PCs and lunar lights, so a smaller fixture was a better plan.

your lucky. i like the pendant lightsl. the just look nicer in my eyes. not sure why!!

yeh love that tank. i was thinking of doing a deep as tank. around 30inch deep,24 inch long 24 inch wide.

wow i like that first tank with the kribensis, rams anf anglefish, t other tank is nice too

I liked it to. Unfortunately it had to be torn down on Feb. 7th, when frozen sprinkler pipes burst and damaged the majority of my condo, and I had to move out for 3.5 months. I hope that after a couple of months that this tank will look as good or better as the old set-up. I am house sitting for 11 days and thought it would be better to wait on adding fish until I get back. Plus, it will give the plants time to root in and grow a bit.

im sure someone else has figured it out, but you can buy metal halide "security lights out door rated 170 watt for about 120$ at home depot with a switchable ballast for multiple voltages, 120, 220, etc, just wire it and set it up and save a butt load of money.. im going to be adding one soon i have the light, but the bulb they give you is about 4000k which is far to yellow appearing to me

yeh.plus thoose lights are bulky and arent safe for aquariums as they have no safety features.. also the reflectors arent really useful for aquariums.
