Aww all this talk about Channa micro makes me think of the one i used to have, sad that i had to give it up because it became illegal. 
BTW IMO i think it will work but the key to making it work is probably size of the pond. In the video the Snakeheads are at the bottom of the tank which is unusual because they are very active fish.

its all good,aligator gar scales are like steel,only issue you'll have is the growth rate....aligator gar grow faster than any fish i have ever seen. handssss down
snakehead grow quicker but obviously not as big. i think you would need a severely big tank for this to work PROPERLY.
