It is perma-plastic, and I think it would change shape under boiling water. Hot water would be better.

There are a lot of options, idk though i never made a micro terrarium

I mean they sell rectangle shaped terrariums.
Idk if what you have there is a nano or a micro, but you might have a hard time finding plants for something that small.

Would Oak-leaf creeping fig be a good idea? Would it stay to the size of the terrarium?
