I tried Lando the midas as a fix for an azul pbass bullying the smaller pbass in a 240 gal. It didn't work.

4 weeks ago Having him next to the tank of devils/midas probably frustrated him next time try adding a few front the other tank in with him on a tank away from the group he started off on the right watching the other tank then seems to of got wound up by them and taken it out on the bass with a few smaller ones in with him theyl be able to escape easier through gaps he cant fit through and his attention wont be on the bass but being next to all the rest deffinantly didnt help

@Fish-Story 4 weeks ago Logical. Thank you!

@Fish-Story 4 weeks ago Much appreciate your sharing the experience! I will even cite it on our midas thread on the MFK, if you don't mind.

I euthanized Atan (13") and 30 smaller red devils. Kept Lando and the adult female of uncertain heritage.

This is the first time. There were too many and I couldn't give them the life and the many tanks they all needed plus they were genetically of poor quality and health and dying off through months and years one by one and many were missing eye or eyes. Only half a dozen got adopted (for free) over 2 years, so I had to let them go. I thought I'd join four 240 gal to make a larger jerk tank in time but failed and I don't when I'll get to it.

Female midas had seemed like she'd be ok with the gulper catfish tank mate for 1.5 months, but then things changed:

Lando the midas had to be moved. I thought I'd tried him in the jerk tank. Initially, I was mostly concerned for the older jerks in the tank that Lando would attack and bully, but much to my ignorant surprise the female midas killed Lando (whom Lando had harassed before so they had to be separated) in half a day, assisted by Terrorist the purple labeo.
