midas/devil acting strange help!

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Allright. Do the wc anyway...

The problem is the " invisible" stuff...

I have seen it happen, believe me. Killed a whole tank like that years ago....

Anyway, if it is not full of gunk, don't do it now...
Tell us about it tomorrow, how butti entered her new abode....

Thanks again for the advice Miguel, I will let you know how it all goes with the move!

All will go well.

I do not give advice, i try to go along based solely on my experience. Mistakes will always happen..:)

How is the midas, by the way?

I hope so :)

and he is doing well! really put the butti back in his place!! the butti is back to his usual submissive ways (when it comes to the midas) I still think the midas was in shock at actually being challenged! amazing how badly such a big bold fish deals with being taken down a peg or two lol!....still, as of tomorrow he can go back to being the unrivaled king of his domain! and the butti can have a whole domain to himself too! :D

Great!

You will be amazed at the intelligent behaviour of a solo butti.

Like a dog.

Way underrated fish, imho. Have allways tried to keep one. Have a solo beast male, nearing 15 inches.

Yeah I had a big 16in butti years ago who had a 6x2x2 tank to himself, he was awesome! absolutely crazy aggressive! but so much fun to watch him....and amazingly responsive! my other half used to have to fight with him at one end of the tank with a plastic pole whenever I needed to do any maintenance inside the tank lol, I was very upset to let him go! I am hoping this tank will be enough for this one long term, its 5x18x24...

Enjoy it!

Keep us posted tomorrow!:)

well, the butti is in his new domain (just moved him) obviously he is a bit stressed from the change.....but will get some pics up later of him once he has settled down....the synspillum is certainly happy! the butti would not let him out from behind the filter! so its nice to actually see him, and the midas is happily chasing the plecs around again! lol...

Great! Now we need some pix!
