  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
SemperFish--I originally had some aeration in there, but I took it out with everything else when I cleaned the tank. Now that you've reminded me I'm gonna put it back in. It should help a little too by stirring up the water for the filter since the filter on there is just too small

pimafix and melafix is made from API. can you tell me what you are currently using? be more specific.

Why are you using ich meds? This is usually caused by poor water quality. Instead of being so quick to dump a bottle of anything in your tank, why not test your water? What are your water parameters?

I went and picked those up. Just did my last ditch effort to save him. 25% water change, added the air stone for some circulation, added the treatment and some more salt for the stress. He is on his own for the next 48 hours.

Bob965--the answer to your question is pretty simple. I am using ich treatment because he has ich. There are spider-web-like strings growing from his fins and he has white spots on his body. The pop-eye is a sympton of ich and other diseases/fungus. I love how so many other people just attack other posters and make subtle insults on these threads. I am not 'so quick to dump a bottle of anything in his tank'. This fish is 8 years old and it's the first time I've ever had a fish get sick like this. So, I researched what the sickness is from and went and got something to help treat it.

You should check this out. It's pretty informative.
