Bummer. Sorry to hear, Bro. He's a beaut! That's awesome you're unselfish enough to think of his welfare. There's plenty of people out there who would keep him in a 55 for the rest of his life without so much as a thought

Totally agree. You deserve a hand clap. Responsible fish keeper.

I'm hoping you find a way to keep that beast

Good luck with the sale, Here in The Toronto Area I can not get rid of a Big Umbee for free!
Yours is an above average looking Dovii but I'm gonna give you my honest opionion , in my experience in Ontario there is very few if not none that will keep 2 fish in a big tank. You will get rid of him easy now at that size but he will probably go from tank to tank to fish store etc! IMO keep him in the Six footer, much better life then being tossed around, you have time! He ain't gonna grow any more for a long time! You obviously take care of him really good and IMO he would rather be in your care in a smaller cage then tossed around! Just my opinion!

Thanks I appreciate it that but I would most likely try and sell him here on mfk to someone I know is responsible if it comes down to it

Hang in there Jagster... keep him until next summer. I'll get an 8ft 370 from Miracles, I'll personally pick the pair up. I have the room, the means and all required to keep both long term.

Cheers guys. I will find a way. Either at my buddies house or convincing my parents to have a tank upstairs. The problem was that this 165/170 gallon tank barly fit in my basment

Get the panes of glass and assemble the tank in the basement. Or hire a professional to do it. Lots of people do that with massive tanks
