My buddy Adam has his 6-8" (I think) argentea in with one other, smaller cichlid and some dithers in his 75". I don't think he has had any aggression issues.
I imagine he will chime in at some point to verify.

i got 6 when they was around 1.5'' and at that size mine were super confident and didnt show no sighns of aggression/ this was in early november and they are around 4-5'' now and seem to be mellowing out and beginning to establish terrortorys and stay put in their areas. sometimes minor squabbles starts at feeding times.or when the sub-dominant male ventures into the alpha males space. but, the alpha just chases it away with no serious attacks. never had ripped fins ever since i had them. but, no doubt they will when they grow. im looking for a pair and when i get a pair out of my 6 them selling the other 4 and put them into a 90g for life.devder1;3835371; said:what do u notice with their behavior?

Any tank with more than 12" in depth would be minimal for an adult, solo. Too keep tankmates with them I'd say a 180+, and then you'll just have to mix and match till you find one that works.
