For a RTC x TSN ?

I really want him , he is about 10- 12inch head to tail cannt remeber price but he's in really good condiction and i really want him but as i am not sure i can due to the size of my tank and the one i hopfully will be getting . He will out grow the tank ., I dont want to do have a fish without a tank sutible size tank for him .

what is the bare Min' for one .

i am hoping to get ( if i find a place which is will to mke me one , as all the ones i have asked have said nope ! ) 7x3x3foot , i do not think it will be big enough but i would like to check as i do really want him .

i would love a tank that size , but its the space i have in the house , would a 7x4x3 work ?

That would be over 600g and a really great tank for one, but eventually it would need bigger if it lived that long. However it would be sometime before it out grew a tank that big.

Grab it up!!

Its been in the shop for a while now , but i now have changed my mind on things now .

Well basicly i was going to get a 7x3x3foot tank for my current fish replace my 4x2x2foot with it and get a Lima catfish for that tank in the next 2 weeks , i really wanted the RCTxTSN but thinking about it , it would get too big for a 7x3x3foot tank . But now i am next year get a large shed and basicly make a fish room/shed out of it , maybe make a pond in the shed 7x4x4foot or a 7x5x4foot .

So if i do go a head and get the RTCxTSN it wont be until early next year hopefully it will still be there in the shop when i get the shed up and running .

So would a 7x4x4foot or a 7x5x4foot pond be ok for the RCTxTSN ? Along with a Silver Awo' , an Oscar , Tire track Eel maybe , Common Pleco maybe , Jaguar Cichlid , Balck belt Cichlid and others if i can .

Some of those tank mates could end up as a snack eventually.

7x5x4 would last a very long time, but eventually it would be more comfortable in a larger home. That would be some time though.

I had a similar question. I am going to build an indoor pond. But in the mean time what is the min size tank i could keep a brand new RTC and TSN in that are still only around 3"-4"? They would only be in the smaller tank for maybe 6 months to a years.

What do you think i should leave out then ? If they are just going to get eaten .
What do you think i should get instead ?

The one i am wanting is currently about 10inch head to tail . Do you think it will be ok in a 120Gal 4x2x2foot tank for now , until i get the pond up and running, which will be getting done March/ April time next year . Or will he get too big for that size tank in the time of 4/ 5 months ? While i bulid the pond and get it cycled .

Also , would a large pond pump and filter work to filter the Trop' pond ? And what size and how many heaters should i get for the pond ?
