Says who? They aren't as aggressive as many would make out...I personally have kept several species with other fish...too bad they're illegal in Ontario now.

really well hook me up with the inside haha. everything ive heard was ppl saying if ur keeping snakeheads onlyy keep them alone. if i could keep them with other species id love to have 2x channa guacha or bleheri or something small like that in my set up.

for the people who have been reading and following the thread i think your starting to get the idea of what i like. so with that in mind for either a 150 gallon tank or like a 180 gallon tank give me you opinions of a full stock list. and also throw in a few spiteful smaller fish that an co exist with these monsters. and another thing to throw in .. everyone despises feeding live food but if u quarentine them etc i don't see a problem with it so i deffinatly plan to feed my tank live feeders every once in a while .. keep that in mind when suggesting the stock list. .. lets see what you guys come up with. this should be fun. so far i like the .. snakeheads, my oscar (maybe), a cool gar, one or two endli, a lima, (maybe another catfish that has an rtc style just smaller) .. maybe wolffish .. open to other ideas too but you get the idea. lets see the stock lists you guys come up with.

See, Acura, we're all not pompous and obnoxious . . . I see some have assisted you and got you heading inthe right direction. Good luck with your tank.

thanks, and i never said that at all. ive been on the site for a year now and gotten alottt of good help in many of my threads. just every once in a while people get frisky.

anyways someone put together a list for me what they thing would be fine.

i definatly want 1x lima or some other similar sized catfish
possibly 1x birchir (unless i can't have many of these fish. if so id prefer only 1 bottom dweller)
will probably keep my oscar with the set up unless i could have something better with it
some kind of 12-20" gar would be good. a snakehead ro two if they fit in the mix .. and maybe some smaller fish that are active but can get along with these big fish.
wolffish would be cool but not a neccisity in the mix. if hes going to cause me more hassle then enjoyment ill leave him out .. what do you guys think so far.

put together a list! in your opinions.i know what fish i like but you guys know what fish are compatile and can fit together in a 150 gallon.

no one wants to take a stab at making my list?

So you want me to take my time putting together a hypothetical stock list for a tank that you do even own?

Let me get right on that:thumbsup:

I would reccommend:
150 gallons which allows for:
x1 Lima shovelnose
x2 Oscar

I'd love a 1' gar, but the smallest true gars are around 26" min. You could swap an oscar for a rocket gar or something, not a gar expert though.

ty for the input. i dont think id have two oscars anyways. only one oscar if i put him in there at all. .. a cat prob lima and ideally a gar (unless gars are really expensive, i need to keep money/budget in mind with these fish) i know you guys don't agree but i also dont mind minorr over stocking as long as its not bad. like i dont mind having 5 fish in the tank around this size then maybe a couple of smaller things that are able to survive. i know your opinino on an aro in a 150 but just out of curiosity what is smallest aro in length? or basicallly all the same?
