My Nitrite is now rising fast, i was finally able to get 2 bottles of prime, do i have to dose with prime every 2 days?

I wouldn`t let the nitrate level go past 50ppm.
WC will help keep nitrate in check.

thanks, Will do more water change, My ammonia has been climbing fast, so i added a little Zeolite to try to bring ammonia down a little, though not down to 0.
thats when my nitrite shoot up, but I'm, unable to add salt because of the zeolite,
I'll try to test the water parameters again tomorrow and see if i can remove the zeolite and add ssalt.

If it were my tank, the only thing I would be doing is WC.
I wouldn`t be adding anything but a dechlorinator to my water.
If you feel the need to add salt, or anything else, I would wait for the tank to finish cycling.
I`ve found the less you mess with your water, the better your chance of a good outcome.
WC as much as needed to keep things going along.

thanks :) My tanks cycle is finally complete :)
0 Nitrite and ammonia. Nitrate i think is at 20?
Would it be safe to do a water change?

pretty sick tank, going to post my 90 gallon soon on my blog. Very Nice, what pump is that underneath the tank? How much? where did you get it from?

I also transferred the old media from my arowanas old filter into the canister, but besides that i also got some old filter media from another canister which i left inside the canister but it was turned off for a month already, so it smelled of rotten egg, what i did was i rinsed the media in tap water a few times and added it into my canister together with the cycled media. btw Also before the transfer of the media into the canister , We had a p[ower outage of 1 hour, not sure if this killed some bacteria in the established filter :(

Just wondeirng if this is a mini cycle, or will this be a full cycle?
I'll do another test tomorrow.

i would have bleached the old media to clean/remove the old dead bacteria. by rinsing, the rotting/dead bacteria could still remain on the media, thus causing a slight problem in your tank.

don't bother with chemical filtration to lower your cycling levels. you'll just be starving your BB which should be learning to handle the load on their own.

simply do water changes.

thanks Really appreciate the help :) My cycle has completed already.
I was rushing to combine old filter media with live bacteria and the old media with dead bacteria. hoping to skip cycle. but i gues i went thru a mini cycle. ammonia was gone in a week.
