Mini- monster cichlids

also known as five star jewels if im not mistaking which are african. They are african but can thrive in the same parameters as SA/CA. These fish are as mean as you get!

I've had breeding con's in the same tank as breeding jewels...the con's fry survived.

Breeding Cutteri are meaner than breeding convicts. I've seen the cutteri back breeding con's into a corner and take 80% of the tank to themselves. Here's a pair:

Five star jewel are not the same as the jewel cichlid. This cichlid would destroy a convict in minutes

I see...but it's still an african and this thread is about ca/sa. I looked them up and like the way the look better than the jewels.

tooth517Never had one but from what I've gathered from books, mfk, and fish enthusiasts, neets are the meanest "mini-monsters" of the new world cichlids! A cichlid version of Danny Bonnaducci tweaking on roids! Don't know where you would find one though!
