Minimum tank height for an armatus?

What do you guys think of a 7'x30"x30"

I'd want to see at least an 8x3 footprint before I call it ideal, but that size would be MUCH better than what most of them end up in. That size is really quite borderline.

So border line hmmm... The plan is moving out in the next 6 months, so I saw the 7x30"x30' pop up for $800. How long do you think it'll last me? I really want to keep my spending to a reasonable amount, and not take up TOO much space for now. Something around that size should last me around 2 years right?

Got my eyes on one of these for the army in the future, http://www.aquaticeco.com/subcategories/2080/Fiberglass-Tanks-With-Window. Thinking when I move in with my gf I can just do a decent size Rubbermaid tank for a year, and when I'm in a bigger place with her get the fiber glass tank.

I like those tanks as well. I'm considering one of their 3/4 round ginormous tanks for my really big tank way down the road. For the prices they offer and the headaches it would save, their products are VERY tempting.

Oh, and take it from a married man: if mama ain't happy, ain't nobody happy. Give her everything she wants and then when it comes time to get what you want, she will say yes.

 , I feel yah on that one bro. I was actually thinking that having that extra foot of with I could do some badass Pothos filtration. maybe make it a uniquarium and section off a portion for a built in sump with a submersible pump to return the water with some media and lots of pothos.

Sounds like improper planning if this is what it's come to....

I've learned it's best that if MFKing is in your blood to sit "mama" down and explain to her how things work - "The fish were here before you, and will be here after you, if this is a problem we are both wasting our time"

Easier to build a solid foundation then to try to repair one..... :)

Is your improper planning comment purely personal? Or is it also in regards to my housing plans for the armatus? If so please enlighten me, I find criticism without suggestion is less useful my friend. Can't really read inflection properly from text. If strictly partner related, i dont think he was saying what you think he was meaning. I think he meant keep her happy with non fish related things and compromise, so when it's time for the huge tank she can't say no lol. Compromise is the key lol, but I did let her know very kindly "you knew what you were getting into with the fish lol". So we compromise. I figured that yes I would need to go with a grow out first and not for life tank while I can to get finances and housing steady, but have a plan and savings for the for life tank.

I was joking.... I'll use more smiley's next time... lol

I think the "making momma happy" saying is funny...

Didn't mean to ruffle any feathers.
