definitely not no less. ive been keeping mine in just a 4x2x2 and hes doing great....and so do others in asia who regularly join aro competitions. they have higher standards than most of us can hope for in asian aro keeping. if you have a minimum size tank, then be religious in your water changing. and filtartion set-up

see......thats the thing.......people need to stop hoping and wishing and take action ;)

dude, those standards aint for the single aro keeper..... they've dedicated the better part of their lives chasing those standards. i know what im doing with my fish for the most part, but chasing after those standards is another thing. im being realistic and keeping my feet on the ground....maybe in 20 years time? but thats even doubtful. these people talk about arowana DNA, while we argue about tank sizes, LOL. nevertheless, aim high so when you fall short, you're still way up there...

so i can keep a green asian in a 4x2x2?

Del, del, del, you should know that im having problems trying to make sure that my floor will hold a 4x2x2, i wish i could go higher bud, but i cant :(

and the debate rages on I see. This is a question that will never be settled upon.

rust9000 why do you doubt your floor is going to hold?

My last appartment on the south coast of England was the ground floor of an old victorian townhouse, with proper squeeky old floorboards.

At one point I had a 150 and a 190 in the SAME room, one against the wall, one in the middle of the room, I never even bothered to check the perpendicular-ness of the floorboards. No problem, they didn't crash through the floor, and the boards didn't sag.

And like I said, these were old rickety floorboards in an old victorian townhouse.

Unless your floorboards are terrible quality, or made from bolsawood, you're worrying about nothing.

A 120 is going to be fine. Just like a couple of fat guys standing in the same spot.

I know my 120g wobbles as i walk by so i just wanna make sure before i go spending thusands of dollars just for it to break my floor.

On the oher hand guys ive found a spot which will hold a 5x2x2, which you say will be ok for a asian arow? yes no?

If a 120 is good for an asian arrow which max out at around 2 foot then it would be ok for a jar correct? I am just wondering what would be the minimum for a jar . Could you keep one in a standard 125 also? I am just curios. Thanks

Chad
