Here are some pics. not the best quality I do apologise, as my girlfriend has the camIMG00728-20130403-0927.jpgIMG00729-20130403-0927.jpgIMG00730-20130403-0928.jpgera. The tank is 6ft by 3ft. 1000 litres, then i also have a approx 350 - 400 litre sump. Depending on evaporation rates. as you can hopefully see, it appears to be a skin flap that is growing in place of his lower jaw? I dont know. all I know is this now looks nothing like it did.

Looks to me like the jaw is still there but the lip was damaged and now regrowing.

Looks like he's got a good chance anyway. Re-home that RBP.

Well I have a shoal of 8 red belly piranhas in that tank. not just one. and the picture really dosnt do it justice. he had a complete hole with no bottom part. I wish i had taken photos of it. he is still doing this weird thing with his gills to create the suction to suck food up. I look now and the hole seems to be covering or closing it self with skin.

here is a full pic of my tank, again sorry for the bad quality, oscar is 11inch. The water is clear, not green. I do a 65 to 70 percent water change everyweek. last one 3days ago. dont know whats up with the camera.

you can just see that 8 RPBs on the right hand side of the tank. Polleni chills just behind them, on the otherside of the black overflow box. thats his territory, no one goes there, and he dosnt usually venture very far away from it.

The pictures look nothing like the initial description you gave...You need to decide which fish mean the most to you, keep those and get rid of the others....

Thats why I included monster fish keepers in on this. It was literally a fleshly hole. he couldnt eat anything and had no lower jaw. just a hole that could not close. I thought it was really amazing as to how much it grew back, to look like it does now. I really thought he was gonna die.

Keeping piranhas with other fish in a tank is borderline cruel. In the end the piranhas will slowly kill and destroy everyone else. Its usually one day you forget to feed then someone disappears, or if a fish gets sick they will take advantage. It may workout short term, but never in the long run, be prepared for more missing fins, and inevitable fish loss.
