No trickery. You don't sell a 10" Piranha for $20, that would be too good to be true.

It is definitely a Pacu, and it will do fine with the other fish in your tank.

Except you are forgetting one fact: pacus do not makes a good aquarium fish, period. Which that is why he might tricking you to buy his problem fish so he don't have to deal with the pacu. It's like he just handed you his life problems and you dealt with it.

yup, you should leave it at that.

Pacu will need a 300 gallon just for himself. Steer clear of pacu. And piranha will eventually kill the other tank mates. If you want piranha stick with only a piranha tank...reds will school....not so much the whites and other species though...they will kill rack other off eventually as well.

You know how it goes, buy now research later. "why did my flowerhorn kill my other fish?" We all did it starting out. I had 4 reds in a 35 hex when i got my first p's 12yrs ago. Didn't know any better.
