I have three green anoles and one Bahama anole. They're living in a little terrarium. Big enough for now but not permanently. Here is the current tank.

I'm going to move them into this tank. Once I get a new tank for my FH's. It's a 55.

What could I put in with my anoles? I was thinking some crested geckos or tree frogs. Thoughts?

Well it's a 55. And I plan on eventually going bigger. Plus there will be tons of plants and vines.

Bump?

What I'm saying is that multi-species vivariums tend to work better when their inhabitants all occupy different areas, have somewhat different food preferences (if possible), and are active at different times (if possible); you'll have a much higher chance of this working out if you make sure that all of the animals that are in there keep to their own zones for the most part.

What's with arboreal reptiles and arboreal frogs? They do not work. Go with either or, but not both.

Agreed. If you are going to put arboreal lizards (anoles in this case) in an enclosure, you probably want to go with a more terrestrial (ground dwelling) species for cage mates if you are intent on mixing.
That being said, im not a fan of mixing reptiles because its very easy to end up with them fighting or competing for food and or territory.
Im thinkin that 55 might be cool with the anoles, and maybe build in a small water area with a filter powered waterfall and a couple firebelly toads or somethin that like the ground/water and will leave the trees, plants and vines mostly to the anoles. Plus the water area with a filter powering a waterfall would keep the water pretty clean and help keep the humidity right since all those species come from rather humid areas.
I did a water feature like that in an encosure back when i was keepin reps and it really added alot to the look of the tank and gave alot more natural look than a water dish lol.

Alot of people wanting to try multispecies nclosures recently...

That is the problem with a fish website. Lots of people here think that it is okay to throw in a few different kinds of reptiles from all over the world and it will all work out.

If you have to ask about a mixed species enclosure, you shouldn't do it. Take your time, heavily research all the animals you are interested in and make a well informed decision. 95% of the time though, it is best to keep them separate.
