hmm, ever put any thought into personality? It might not typically work but thats not to say there are no docile personalities out there. I think its going too far to compare the reptilian brain to the mental capacity of a microbe. Just because the human species developed the capacity to verbally express feelings and thoughts does not mean we are the only species to have such thoughts/emotions
Younglin, I love what your tank is starting to turn into, keep us posted with how things are going
Oh dear, Younglin, you'd be rather surprised how great intellectuals like Einstein and Newton didn't happen to think about the same aspects of physics.

I have nothing against Younglin. He seems like a decent individual who does the necessary preparation and precautions. However, too many mistakes have been made by beginners who tend to describe their pets as liking each other, which is a very unlikely case that must boil down to personality. What are the chances of that, given the no. of examples otherwise.
Of course, you could take the path of experimentation and separate when necessary and keep it that way. But for the majority of unlucky people, without further proof, it is probably better to err on the side of caution. Thus I disagree with Younglin's description.
By the way, I was comparing a trend. The closer species pop out to humans on the scale of evolution, the more they tend to show some form of emotion.
