was there ever any doubt?

btw, OMG, Dennis Bermudez vs Matt Grice. holy crap that was a freakin fight!! If you wanna show anyone a fight to make them a fan, that would be a good choice. that's called putting it all on the line. that's how you keep your job

machida isn't always in explosive balls to the wall brawls but he isn't always boring. i'd rather watch machida any day of the week compared to gsp.

this doesn't happen when you're a boring fighter. one of the best counter strikers in the game
Bah! GSP had a very exciting fight last time out. Of course, I'm always excited to watch GSP, IMO the best there is right now.

Backing up and counter-striking is the definition of boring MMA to me.

They gotta make Cyborg/Rousey happen. What else is there that anyone would talk about. Carmouche did better than I thought honestly. If anything Hendo Machida could have been a draw. The compubox #s were so close.
Too bad Cyborg signed with Invicta...who's ducking who?

I want to see Ronda vs. Sara McMann. Would love to see her fight Gena or Cyborg, too. Looks like McMann might fight Alexis Davis first.

to each his own I guess. dry humping isn't too exciting for me. Anderson is a counter striker, one of the most exciting fighters ever. Gsp is 5 decisions in his last five fights. I am 99.99% sure he will decision nick diaz. but I know Machida has been in boring fights too. I am just disagreeing on him being a boring fighter in general

Rhonda ducked cyborg for those who don't know. she started off fighting at 145. she was one or two fights away from fighting cyborg. she decided to drop down to 135. now at 135 she is calling out the bigger fighter who won't likely make the weight. Rhonda can go to 145 to fight her but she won't. but that's all moot now since borg failed the test and stripped of her title.

ufc offered cyborg a contract, but at 135 which she probably can't make weight. imo, it will be very difficult since she is really scrawny at weigh ins for a 145 fight so who knows.

but cyborg did not duck Rhonda. if anything Rhonda didn't want any of that.

Cyborg won't be much without her roids. Would like to see ronda vs gena but she's making bank with her movies

there's a better chance of cyborg fighting Rhonda. no way gina will ever make 135. it would have to be 145 and even that would be very difficult for gina

this is inevitable I think. but mcmann will have to beat one or two girls first. at least she's in the ufc

I think he was too timid and respected Henderson's right hand too much which is why the fight went the way it did. can't blame him. but he definitely won the fight in my eyes. he did enough to win but if it were up to me, I wouldn't give him the title shot. even though dana said winner gets jones next. with that performance he doesn't deserve it.

He's boring, even Joe Rogan said it. All he does is counter and that's boring. If your afraid of getting hit then you don't belong in the UFC. He should stick with karate tournaments.

And it's moot because Cyborg is in Invicta. Ronda can't go to 145 to fight Cyborg if she won't even sign w/ UFC as there's no reason for Ronda to leave the UFC. It would be really hard to convince me that Ronda would duck anyone. I can't blame her for going to a better weight class for her

if a guy is only gonna wrestle and not willing to fight standing, he don't belong in mma and should stick to wrestling. see what i did there? anyways, like I said, to each his own. counter striking is a skill few can truly be great at. I prefer that over wrestling and holding down an opponent any day. just me,.........

btw, everything joe says I take with a grain of salt. he's knowledgeable and provide a very good technical description and commentating ringside but he's been very annoying lately with his bias commentating. every time his favorite of the two fighters are in the ring flinches he oohs and ahhhs, while the other guy lands and he talks about some other thing unrelated to the fight

And it's moot because Cyborg is in Invicta. Ronda can't go to 145 to fight Cyborg if she won't even sign w/ UFC as there's no reason for Ronda to leave the UFC. It would be really hard to convince me that Ronda would duck anyone. I can't blame her for going to a better weight class for her

she had the chance at strikeforce when they were still there together. cyborg was eating the competition for breakfast, maybe juicing, but that's not the point. the point was, Rhonda could've fought her when she had the chance and chose to leave the division. to me, she ducked.

cyborg didn't sign because the ufc says, ok, you have a contract, you will be welcome here but you gotta fight at 135, there is no 145 division. well, if she can't fight at 135, how can she sign?? i'm not gonna try to convince you Rhonda ducked cyborg, but you can choose to ignore the facts all you want. Rhonda fought 3 amateur fights before going pro, winning all by first round armbar. first two pro fights, first round armbar. enters strikeforce and wins two fights by armbar in the first round at 145 lbs. then drops to 135 to challenge Meisha Tate. why in the hell would someone be on that kind of a dominant run at 145 and decide to drop for??? with that kind of momentum why did she drop?? heck, she could've fought cyborg and if she won, she could still drop to take the lower weight belt. but she left the division while she was absolutely dominating for no reason. hey, you can believe all you want but to me, if it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck,.......... it's a damn duck to me

usually people drop weight or go up because a team mate or training partner or close friend is the champ or at the top. they wanna avoid fighting eachother. but no one dominates in their division and just leaves the division when they will likely be next for a title shot, cmon now

Jumping into this conversation pretty late but who can say anyone is ducking? Unless your name is Jon Jones (which I think might have been a smart decision but he might lose anyway)? Rowsey could have fought those couple pro fights and decided the weight class wasn't right for her even though she was winning. Why is Silva not fighting better competition than "past their prime," "not even legends," who can barely defend themselves, light heavyweights? Even though he's tearing the weight class apart? If the motto is to each their own, then lets stick to that.
Also, the only boring fighter out there is GSP (personal opinion). He's too smart to be a champion prizefighter. He knows the easiest way to leave a legacy is to string wins as the champ, and unfortunately for us (fortunate for him) he's too smart to get caught too often doing the "wrong thing" in a fight. Who's your fav prizefighter? Mines Tyson, exciting, powerful and DUMB as hell. The best combination in my opinion for excitement.
