the way to beat vitor is to survive his initial onslaught.

usually he tires and will drown once you pull him into deep waters

he seems to be lost and not know what to do if he can't knock a guy out.

interesting fact: vitor's last 8 wins have come via stoppage. his last 10 wins, 9 were stoppages. only one of those stoppages was by submission. he's 10-2 since last losing to Dan in 2006. he's going full beast mode
 
so ben askren got released by bellator. dana said he wasn't interested in askren. i hope he brings him on board.

speaking of bellator, last night's event was awesome. all the fights that aired was stoppages. very satisfying to see a card with all stoppages. i really liked that guy's sportsmanship he showed after knocking out lambert. and good to see rampage get the win, but imo he did not look too good. he is just a shell of himself these days.

anyways, gsp/Hendricks tonight

if gsp wins he will have the record for most ufc wins and i think tie with Anderson silva for most title defenses
 
Dagnabit...I missed the Bellator show,slept right through it.I hope I can catch a replay at some point.

I caught the Bellator replay and enjoyed it...Looks like it's going to be St. Pierre-Hendricks II since Dana White said he thought Hendricks won the first one...looks like Rashad Evans gave Sonnen a nice pounding..always good to see that.
 
Hendricks GSP was so close I don't see how anyone could've been disappointed with it going either way. I missed Bellator too. Does anyone have a link to see it?
 
a lot of people thought Hendricks won and all the mma media thought Hendricks won

I had rounds 2 and 4 for Hendricks and 3 and 5 for gsp. round 1 was the one that was very close and it came down to that one that determined the winner. at least in my opinion. the over all feel that I got by the end of the fight was that gsp defended his title and Hendricks didn't do enough. I'm gonna have to watch it again. 2nd time viewing it usually will make it more clear

I don't see how dana thought gsp only won round 3. how do you not score 5 for gsp. he needs to watch that fight again. gsp took that round and there was nothing Hendricks can do about it
 
Alas I didn't see it. Friend that ordered it was texting me during it. He said 3-2 rounds for Hendricks, though the 5th was iffy. We both did mma before it was mma a long time ago, so I was trusting his views on it. Not sure I'd want to catch the replay knowing the frog gets the win, though the pics did show him pretty beat up. I enjoy that sort of thing.
 
I seriously am baffled by anyone who gave 5th round to Hendricks

4th was Hendricks for sure. I can see the argument for gsp stealing the 2nd round (where Hendricks had gsp hurt). but no way does Hendricks wins 5th round. no way
 
Looking up various sites, it seems most had it 3-2 with a Hendricks win scoring wise. Very interesting. Also the frog saying he wants to step away for a while, with some sites hinting at retirement. I hope he doesn't retire with the title, that might make me physically ill.
