I'm glad he vacated, I never cared for him. But having this long of a layoff and dealing with an interim champ is crazy. Barao is a beast but I never count out Uriah, he tends to surprise me.
 
ufc would've stripped him anyways but I think he knew it was the right thing to do regardless. I never was a fan of his, never disliked him but was never a fan. but I just really wanted to see him fight barao because it was an intriguing match up between their two styles

I agree, faber can never be counted out, but everyone has to have him as an underdog.

Agreed, He will probably be a pretty big under dog. I think Barao would have stopped Cruz in round 1 or 2. I think the Faber matchup is a better fight from a fans viewpoint anyways. But we will never know.
 
Very disappointed. I really like watching Cruz fight. There aren't too many fighters left that I really like. Guess I need to pay more attention to the new breed.

I don't like Cruz much, but I was looking forward to that fight. On the plus side, Cruz will probably get a warmup fight before he fights Barao.

Lots of good Russian grapplers are on the rise. Nurmagomedov vs Melendez isn't inked yet, but I hope it happens. I like both fighters, but Khabib is becoming one of my favorites.
 
khabib vs gil isn't happening anymore from what I know. at least not for the moment.

brown has already caught heat for it but I don't see what the big deal is. if someone don't agree with him then so be it, but he's just speaking his opinion whether it's right or wrong. for fans of such a brutal sport, there are a lot of whiners

but I don't think he was right about lower weight guys having no ko power

but I disagree about his thoughts on wmma in general. I actually find some of the most exciting fights are the women's fights. I remember the women were stealing the show all the time in strikeforce. I wouldn't want more than one women's bout on a main card though and the one on it should be a high profile fight
