I really wish Nate would get what he deserves... a title shot.

How is it that someone with his skills is so overlooked in the company? He is the definition of an MMA star: Athletic, tough, skilled, and he shows more class and sportsmanship than anyone I can think of right now.

Nate Marquardt is on my list of guys that I think can dethrone Silva... If you can even call it a 'list'.

Also:

  • Yoshihiro Akiyama vs. Wanderlei Silva*
  • Nate Marquardt vs. Chael Sonnen*
  • Mirko "Cro Cop" Filipovic vs. Ben Rothwell*
  • Stephan Bonnar vs. Krzysztof Soszynski*
  • James Te Huna vs. TBA*

Not too shabby. Mainly Akiyama vs Silva.

If Cro Cop wants to still have his name on the list of worthy contenders, he needs to smash Rothwell.

he got a title shot already and look what happened. He's not overlooked, he's just been climbing back up the latter. plus not a lot of people want to see him rematch silva. I admit, he's on a friggin rampage right now but he looks that good because look at who he's fought? I think he's in the same boat Jon Fitch is/was in, he's good enough to tear it up and knock everyone else off except he ain't good enough to beat the champ. Just like Rich Franklin, that's why he moved back up to lhw.

I always felt that Damian Maia was a bit over hyped and eventually was gonna loose to a striker one day and if him and Nate was to rematch, it may be a different fight. I wish they'd work out that thing with Dan so he can fight Dan and that winner should be the next to fight A. Silva for the title. I honestly dont' care to see anyone fight Anderson at 185 right now. he's undisputed 185 king in my book.

Nate vs Sonnen?? This is the first I heard of this, I've been offline for about a week or so.

That is a dissappointment. If Dan leaves UFC, Nate should get the next title shot for sure. I'm not sure what Dan's status is though.

Also, they may want to keep Nate busy since Anderson is sidelined for surgery, maybe that's why they set that up. I hope Sonnen doesn't win because I really dont' care for him or to see him fight Anderson

Couple thoughts:

I agree that Nate should get a shot, but I can also see how people aren't going nuts to see it. He did get beat in their first fight, but since he's been training with G. Jackson, his whole approach has changed. I think Nate will be the guy to beat Silva.

The Fitch comparison is a good one, Fitch is in a real tough spot. He is the best at that weight not named GSP, but he got beat so badly the first time around that there is really no reason to put him back in there.

Hendo is likely gone, so, I think that the theory about keeping Nate busy while Silva is down is a good one. I wish they would just let Nate pound Belfort though.

This is a good call by the UFC, both guys are deserving with another win.

UFC will air prelims again on Spike, couple of nice fights there with Davis/Saunders and Grove/Rosholt.

M1 exec Jerry Millen says Fedor will fight Brock for free. But, he also adds that Brock would have to come there and fight in Stary Oskol.
I like the trash talk, but it still doesn't make sense. Sure, you'll do it for free, except it's not about being free, it's about the money. That's why Fedor's not in the UFC, so the "free" argument is jsut dumb. I do like what he said about the UFC making mma what it is in America, but not in the world. Good insight there.

Any updates on Brock?

I heard he is still in the hospital with internal problems leading to Roids being the prob

Liver Failure something with his heart and one more thing

Just want to know if it is true or not?
