UFC Rio tomorrow!

Can't wait. I've been excited for a while but it didn't really kick in until last night when I saw the countdown on Spike.

I like Okami but I gotta go with Silva. He's one of my all time fav fighters. I see Okami trying to exchange with Anderson not to beat him standing but to get an opening for the takedown. He will try to do what Chael did.

I also like Forrest but Shogun is also one of my all time favs. Hoping that he comes in good shape like he did against Machida. If he does, Forrest ain't taking this fight. If he comes in bad shape and gasses after the first round, Forrest will beat him again.

Nog is one of my fav hw's. I'm really hoping he'll somehow win but I just can't see him doing it. He's been thru too many wars and just doesn't move like how he used to. He's just a shell of his former self now. I see Brandon getting a knock out but I'm really pulling for Nog to get the W

Barbosa and Pierson is a fight that is slipping under the radar. This is a great match up. Barbosa has the speed advantage and I think that will be the factor in this fight. I see him tagging Pierson from the outside and getting a tko stoppage.

prelims look good too, the ones they will air should be good fights

I agree Silvia will destroy yushin Okami I mean cmon Silvia knocked him out from under already haha but I disagree on forrest winning against shotgun. Forest isn't the same.fighter he was before he beat Franklin because of the size difference but forest is soft now he can't get hit like he used to and an angry shogun is a dangerous shogun he will beat forest
 
I think the Sonnen fight was a fluke, Anderson went in there with something wrong. Okami doesn't stand a chance. I also want to see some vintage Shogun!

i know shogun can beat forrest, i know shogun is the better fighter. the thing with him is that he's shown that his cardio is inconsistent. that's what worries me. if he gasses early he'll be in trouble. it blows my mind to see him gas so early in one fight, and see him go hard for 5 rounds like he did against machida in their first fight. if he comes in shape like that first machida fight, forrest doesn't stand a chance. i agree about the forrest/franklin fight. the size was a huge factor

well, we'll see, we all know what okami's game plan is. and we will most likely see a chael rematch. chael has to beat stann first which is what i see him doing. i think chael will beat stann by decision if stann doesn't knock him out. then most likely chael will get the rematch

dana has recently said that anderson only wants meaningful fights right now because he's looking to retire. 4 possible opponents are Chael, Dan Henderson, GSP and Bones. the two that are more realistic is Dan and Chael. I don't think we'll get to ever see gsp and bones against anderson. i think dana just throws those names out to get people hyped up

Sonnen was talking crap about noguiera jiujitsu that's why Sonnen did good in the fight if you notice silvas entrance he's wearing his gi his intentions the whole fight were to submit him. It was hard not only because Sonnen was on steroids but Anderson had a broken rib. Okamis fighting style is the same as Sonnen Anderson should not have any problems dealing with him
 
Sumoninja I wanted shogun that should have won the first fight against machida and knocked machida out in the second to show up against Jon Jones. I think shogun should go.back to leg kicks and muythai against forest. I just hope minatauro wins and shows age doesn't stop a master in jiujitsu from.submitting anyone

and please substantiate your accusation the Chael was on steroids when he fought Anderson...refresh my memory, but I don't recall actually testing positive for 'roids, just high testosterone levels
 
way to go, Okami and Schaub :thumbsdow

didn't get to see the fights...didn't realize they started earlier and by the time I would have gotten there, it would haven't been worth my time...but it sounded like Okami didn't follow what I thought would have been the game plan after training w/ Chael and after he exposed Silva's weakness.
