such exciting news. "Easy fight for Brock"
IDK how anyone can say Anderson if the best P4P w/o a doubt. How many fights has he lost vs GSP (number and percent)? How many rounds lately has he lost vs GSP? IMO, the only way to determine the best P4P is a superfight.
who here said it was anderson wo a doubt? i've heard it said on other forums though. and imo he is the current p4p king. but i can see the argument for gsp. it's between them two, that's for sure. and you can't really put too much emphasis on win/lose percentage when it comes to a p4p debate. if someone lost 4 times but his last loss was 5 years ago it really doesn't matter. what matters is what he's been doing since (the level of competition they've been currently facing and how they won), and for anderson, he's completely dominated and beat every single contender in dominating fashion making truly elite fighters look silly. sure chael dominated him, but he came out with a decisive win, which only helps prove he has the heart of a champion and can come back when faced with adversity. not to mention chael failed the blood and urine tests. he had the testosterone level of a friggin horse, and still lost. and on top of that, it's the manner in which anderson's been winning. he's been stopping guys left and right, top ranked guys. from here on out, he'll only be fighting rematches, guys who he's already beat decisively, no contraversial stoppage or decision. only time will tell if Brian Stann, Michael Bisping and Mark Munoz are worthy of a title shot. at this point i'd say bisping is most deserving but let's be real, he's a 10-1 underdog in my book against anderson.
gsp, has had losses in the ufc and i think the loss to serra hurt his stance in the p4p although he did erase that loss in the rematch, but it's also because he hasn't been taking guys out like anderson has. he doesn't fight to win, he fights to not lose you see what i'm saying? he's got the skills to dominate fighters but he doesn't take chances and go for the kill, he's a master stradegist, he'll use his athleticism to stand against a ground guy, and use his wrestling to beat a striker, but he's content with fighting safe to go to a decision. that's my biggest gripe with him as with many fans. i don't have to see a super fight, it would be great to see of course, but a super fight, for me is not the decisive factor. you have one guy who is naturally bigger than the other and will have a disadvantage moving up so i dont' have to see it to make my decision on who is the p4p #1. there's enough evidence in their own divisions to decide that for me.
I agree, KO within the first two rounds by Overeem, He's just more tactical than Lesnar. EPIC!
if i was lesnar, i would setup the take down, that's the only place he'd have a chance is to win the fight there. i don't see this fight going 5 rounds though. one guy is gonna get stopped and lesnars best chance is to take reem into deep waters. but i think reem will stop him within 2. i'm stoked either way that overeem is in the ufc, we now truly have all top heavyweights in the ufc and can truly see who is the best. i think fedor has fallen off the top but it's a shame we never got to see him come over.
btw, fedor will be fighting jeff monson
