I saw a quick clip of the fight on ESPN in my hotel room and it looked like Silva really trashed Sonnen this time...Spider Mania rolls on!

I wouldn't say that. Sonnen won the first down. Second round he slipped and Silva got on top of him and was barely even hitting him. I watched the slow mo replay and most if not all his shots missed or barely grazed Sonnen. I think it was an early stoppage. I'm just waiting for Jones to step down his weight class and kick the Spiders ass!

Na sonnen just didn't have the ferocity and energy that the roids gave him, he cant complete a 5 round war without the enhancments, but I would have liked to see it go on longer for a more definitive victory

Sonnen got tired the first fight. He wasn't on roids to begin with and was still on trt. I'm so sick of people confusing illegal steroids with legal trt. And GSP is the best in the world. Sonnen is the best fighter Anderson has fought in a long time and look at his record. GSP would destroy Anderson.

Needing trt is a result of past steroid use for fighters. Dan Henderson is on trt and so was or is randy couture. Rich franklin has also stated that he's thought about using it to make a last run at the title as he knows he just isn't the same fighter anymore. These guys weren't super athletes who defied father time and was or is able to compete at the top level at such an old age, they were juiced on artificial testosterone
And legal trt is a loophole. As far as I'm concerned it does give you an advantage and it's basically a prescription to allow you to cheat. If your body can't produce natural testosterone you probably shouldn't be in combat sports let alone most sports.

I'm not trying to pass judgement but personally for me it leaves an asterisk on their careers. But I will at least give them credit for the hard work they still have to put in
Anyways about the fight, I'm amazed at how calm Anderson is while being dominated from the top. I was like, oh man, this is just a continuation of their first fight. But he got taken down right away because he came in wild swinging like a caveman. In rd two he used footwork more and defended the takedown attempts but he did blatently grab sonnen's shorts at one point but was verbally warned by the ref, when sonnen failed another takedown attempt he made an error that cost him the fight. The spinning elbow was the beginning of the end. When Anderson threw the knee while sonnen was down I thought oh crap!! Wtf did he just do?? Then replay shows it was to the body and not the head. And chael got beat up a little and turtled up into fetal position
Btw, I scored the fight for Forrest. He stold rd 1, won rd two and maybe lost rd 3, it was a close fight, not great performances from either guy but I felt Tito lost
