Let me rephrase. After such a dominant run in the wec it seemed like faber had lost his edge. Lost his belt to brown, lost the rematch with brown. Then lost fights with Cruz. I dunno, it was just like a rollercoaster. Crazy fact that he has never lost a non title fight in his career.

I agree. he may never be champ again. but still good enough to knock off contenders lol. like jon fitch was doing for a while.

I don't think he'll beat barao or aldo so he's either gotta move to lightweight or cut more. but I don't see him beating mighty mouse either. I don't think he'd beat cruz either but who knows what form cruz is gonna be back in,.....

Watching UFC 148: Silva vs Sonnen II on FOX....

Heck yeah. I definitely need to watch this one.

Yep,should be a good card.

Looks like Struve might have to retire from a heart condition. He's only 25, but he takes a lot of damage and probably couldn't fight into his 30s anyway. He's always fun to watch though.

"I feel great," he said on Monday’s MMA Hour. "I don’t feel a thing about the condition. I’ve had it my entire life. That’s the crazy thing. I’ve been fighting my entire career with a heart that’s only working at 70 percent."

"I had to get an MRI immediately to find out what was going on," Struve said. "You have to understand, I was scared as hell. I was thinking, 'Maybe I’ll have open heart surgery tonight.’ But everything was okay with the aorta. The only thing that was wrong was a leaking aortic valve and an enlarged heart."

Anderson went to train with his Grandmaster in Thailand. I guess Segal couldn't teach him to tuck his chin.
Jokes aside, I hope Anderson comes back and starts fighting with that old hunger he used to have.

Sometimes you win, sometimes you no win. The new Anderson is coming… The first time in my life and my career I get knocked out and I’m not happy. The time I finished the fight, I’m no happy, but I go back to the hotel and three days Dana talked to me: ‘This is very important for your legacy. We need you back. We need you to go for a rematch.’ I talk to my coach, and my family. My coach say, ‘Yeah this is very important for you. They need you back. They need you to give for the fans one more fight. One more chance for the fans watching for the belt… I go to my grandmaster in Thailand. I go for training. I pick up back my energy, the martial arts and the new Anderson is coming. You’ll see.

Pardon my ignorance here, but what is Andersons backround that has him training in Thailand? Do you know who his Grandmaster is?

I have no idea who his Grandmaster is. As far as I know, he learned all of his Muay Thai in Brazil. I know that he has had Muay Thai fights and with the long career he's already had, he very well could have trained in Thailand way back when.
