It was on CBS. Glory 11 will be the first event on Spike. Spong vs Corbett is the main event of the four man HW tournament (Saki vs. Verhoeven and Ghița vs. ‘Braddock' Silva. I'd pick Spong, but Corbett is a solid fighter. A lot of people don't know Corbett, but he fought Spong before and KO'd him and it was ruled a no contest for a cheap shot after the ref waved him off.
The KO's around the 3:00 mark.

Crazy cheap shot. It kinda looms like he was caught up in the moment and misread the refs hand signals or something. However there is no excuse for that stuff. Glad it was ruled a NC
 
Lol when did Cedric The Entertainer start moonlighting as a fight ring announcer?

it honestly looks to me like he misread the ref waving the fight off and thought the ref was waving them to continue. like, why would you do something like that on purpose if you just knocked the dude into next Tuesday? cheap shots usually are thrown with the intention to win or because someone lost.

that was an amazing right counter and a lazy knee which obviously spong paid for. that fight was 4 years ago or something like that, both fighters have gotten better and it should be a good fight

I disagree with the commentator blaming the ref though. he clearly waved the fight off and it was just an unfortunate situation where Corbett was confused and misunderstood the ref's instruction and continued go after spong

only thing that puzzles me is why is Sergio not staying at fly weight? maybe the only fight available is bantom or maybe not enough time to make weight? I don't know


I've seen recent pics of both roy and Daniel. clearly the beer bellies are shrinking. can't wait to see the fight
 
At 20yrs old, he's probably still filling out and may find it's getting harder to cut. Just a guess. You could also be right, and maybe the only fight available was at 135lbs. Most of these guys would fight a couple of weight classes up if they had to, just to get their foot in the door.
 
This should be an amazing fight! At the 830 mark is when JDS talks about overtraining in the second fight.

Thanks for posting that, Digger. I hadn't seen that before.

The card on Wednesday looks pretty solid for a free card. Hopefully Maia gets another W. Eric Silva vs Stun Gun is a good co-main, Thiago Silva will destroy Hamill, Maldanado vs Beltran should be a war (I think Maldanado takes it), and Palhares vs Pierce will either end in a Palhares sub or Pierce KO.
