On the stat line Henderson out fought Thomson. i know stats aren't everything but when its a close fight like that I'm sure they play a big role in a "decision"

And being it was also a close fight.. Had Bruce Leroy not finished the fight i KNOW the decision wouldve went to Pettis because he's the brother of the champ.....and that probably wouldve annoyed me. so grats to Leroy for 'not leaving it in the hands of the judges'

judges don't have punch stats available to them during a fight though

and I had pettis winning round 1, round 2 was close because Leroy dropped pettis then let him come back and possibly even stole the round back. 3 was close as well, until the finish. so if that had been a decision, it could've went either way.

Here's a little piece on the judge who scored it 49-46 Henderson.

"You may also have noticed that his name has come up a few times in decisions deem controversial—7 times in 2013 to be exact—he appeared on the most disputed decisions of 2013 list. D’Amato judged a total of 56 fights on 17 different events in the year according to MMADecisions’s record books. Making it just about 12.5% of his fights judged turned out to be controversial."

Anderson, is pressing charges against some lady over twitter.

"We're still investigating to get her name, address and phone," Magalhaes told Globo. "It's a 40-year-old woman who wrote on the internet, in a social media, several phrases, including ‘Brazil will see the idol and rotten that you are'."
In an interview with a local radio station, Magalhaes said the woman also called Silva a "s---ty idol."
Apparently the woman could face up to six months in jail or, more likely, a hefty fine. Either way it seems a pretty hard price to pay for a couple of rude comments. Stay tuned as we'll be sure to keep you updated.

I'd expect a professional fighter to be a little tougher than this...

UFC card this weekend looks good. Barao vs Faber, Aldo vs Lamas, and Overeem vs Mir are all interesting. All have potential for KO of the night.

I wonder if Mir will get yet another UFC match if he happens to lose this one?

That's a good question. He's been around for a long time. His chin is just as questionable as Overeems' at this point.

And more importantly, when's the last time he's won a a fight?

Same goes for Overeem. Last W he had was against a badly ailing Lesnar.

Mir has lost his last 3.
Overeem has lost his last 2, but he was winning both of those fights until he got KO'd.
