the announcers even said that was a crappy guillotine. he got taken down without much effort. once he was down thompson could get side control with minimal effort. and right now thompson is raining down elbows and punches from side control

HHAHAHAHAH... Amazing? Kimbo showed tonight that he is no where near ready for a top fighter. His ground game and takedown defense are garbage. And he was gassed as hell after the second and from just getting his head elbowed. What wound happen if he was defending real subs for that amount of time? He's all hype and will never see UFC.
 
if ke does make it to the big show he wont last long thats for sure, he doenst have crap for skills other than swingin, needs to much work everywhere else, not impressed at all

I can't believe he needed a gift stoppage to beat thompson :D

Also, his punches obviously aren't as hard as people think, as James gets hurt by punches that narrowly miss. If Kimbo could punch, he would knocked James the **** out.

James won the first 2 rounds too. Kimbo isn't even as good as I thought.

Kimbo lumped guys up for sure in his street fights but I didn't see him knock anyone out the way I've see great knock outs in the cage and he was bare knuckling then. If his hands were that heavy he would have really did some damage on the street. I will say he is quick for his size and very accurate though.
 
I think Kimbo is being coached to not throw punches like he used to. His approach is totally different now.
I actually don't have a problem with the stoppage. Thompson didn't fall down but he took about 4 punches, straight in, on his face, and didn't really defend. The reason why I don't have a problem with it is because you have to be careful with the heavyweight guys because sometimes they can stand up and take punches, but really not be with it. They can take some big damage sometimes, and not have to fall down.

All just my opinion here.. But I agree I don't get caught in the hype and well fighting aside, I don't think he'd ever see the UFC anyways..
