yeah, the lawler and thompson fight were stopped too early. thompson already came back from a similar situation. I don't think he would have lasted much longer, but he was still on his feet and knew where he was. It seemed like they (the organization) were way too cautious because of the whole situation. As you guys said, if Kimbo would fight someone really good at MMA, he would probably lose. I like Thompson, but he's far from a great fighter. I was cringing every time I saw his ear flop. That had to have hurt coming from someone who had cauliflower ear (I got it fixed).

I didn't even know anything about Kimbo before this fight. Earlier this week, I was watching some Fedor videos on YouTube and people were talking about how Kimbo would beat Fedor if they fought and I was wondering who he was. ROFLMFAO! Fedor would knock him out so quick.

ya, that surprised me, too. I guess it just happened and they didn't have time. the first time I went in to get mine fixed, they drained it, but it fillled back up. the second time, they actually opened up my ear and got everything out. They had to put 3 huge needles behind my ear full of whatever numbing agent they used and it hurt like hell and i could hear the needles scraping something; sounded like cartilage or bone. UGH. I hate needles to begin with, but these were very long and bigger than the usual needle.

i wrote that....Kimbo looked amazing on the ground while i was watching him in the first round....things changed

some decent fights so far but they seem to be trying to make the mma fights like wwe. to much showmanship for my taste but i guess you have to appeal to broader population.

WOW! Terrible end to the Lawler fight. Apparently there was a questionable stoppage in one of the un-aired fights also.

Also, his punches obviously aren't as hard as people think, as James gets hurt by punches that narrowly miss. If Kimbo could punch, he would knocked James the **** out.

James won the first 2 rounds too. Kimbo isn't even as good as I thought.

did you not see thompsons face when he got hit?? everytime he got hit he looked ko'd

I think Kimbo is being coached to not throw punches like he used to. His approach is totally different now.
I actually don't have a problem with the stoppage. Thompson didn't fall down but he took about 4 punches, straight in, on his face, and didn't really defend. The reason why I don't have a problem with it is because you have to be careful with the heavyweight guys because sometimes they can stand up and take punches, but really not be with it. They can take some big damage sometimes, and not have to fall down.

all in all not to bad of a show for a new company and new fighters

You think Thompson has a good chin? Have you seen him fight before?

He has a glass chin, that's a fact. He's been taken out quickly and brutally by a handful of guys, fedor's brother, butterbean, grove, and most recently Rogers.

That's his biggest weakness, his chin, it absolutely sucks.

He looks like he's about to be KO'd when anyone lands on him, the difference is, the people who can really punch actually KO him, not just almost KO him.

Kimbo is a decent striker, in fact his timing and accuracy and punching technique is very good for MMA standards, however his power is clearly not as good as people though. Big difference between the street bums he fought, and pro MMA fighters.

He'll get annihilitated when he faces someone even as good as Rogers, but still - I quite like him. He is entertaining, no doubt, and last night's fight was pretty good.
