Besides my lousey picks, I got nuthin to say but WTF!
Way too much hype and filler for me...

The girls were cool to watch, Cerano is a babe and she kicked Youngs ***...looked to me like she was more than 4.5 lbs bigger...Heck her "girls" were 4.5lbs heavier alone...:D

Thompson didn't have the sence to protect his crystal chin and most of those fighters spent more time doing interviews than road work...Might as well be watching amatures...

Tonights WEC bouts ought to be better and we'll all get to see it at the same time 6PM PST / 9PM EST

What was really pissing me off was the announcer making it seem like no one has every see MMA before. First time on network TV but it's on cable all week long... He even said that the crowd was use to seeing boxing, WTF??? Everyone who bought a ticket to the event is a UFC fan, no doubt.

Zactly...they are trying to attract a new fanbase.
We all know that Pro-wrestling brings in Millions. They are trying to convert those fans to a "real" fight...How stupid do they think people are anyway. I think they missed the mark by a longshot...

he is really strong I would love too see him continue to win. The sad thing is once he fights someone whos a real MMA fighter, like someone whos a blackbelt in BJJ. we shall see though.
 
i think part of it was he was so tired after getting taken down and having to work on the ground. it didnt look like he had much snap to his punches later in the fight
 
Fact: Kimbo IS a girl. The only good thing about her is her beard. And the only reason she managed to grow that is cause of the roids. That is defo a thong, and its not really a suprise given her sorded connections to the florida porn world. She looks good on those you tube videos cause she did a bit of boxing, took loadsa roids and fought NOBODY's! If shes sooo hard, why did she stop boxing all those years ago? Oh yeah thats right she sucks and she got her fanny kicked, and sloped off to be a doorwoman and kick drunks in to feel hard.

Have no doubt about this: Slice would be destroyed by any legitimate mixed martial artist. Had Slice faced ex-WWE champion Brock Lesnar, the current UFC rookie hopeful, he’d have been beaten in less than two minutes.

As it was, Slice struggled his way to a sloppy third-round knockout of a complete tomato can.

You can’t blame Slice, because he had no business being in a main event of a mixed martial arts bout at this stage of his progression. It takes years of training and sacrifice to reach the main event in MMA and Slice was only there because of the notoriety he’d gained in his YouTube street brawls.

It was kind of ironic that at the show’s opening, Shamrock said with a straight face, “You won’t find them fighting in a bar and you won’t find them fighting in the street.”

Really?

Well, this card featured a guy (Baroni) who fights in bars and another who made his name by fighting in the streets.

CBS should have known better.

The fans deserved better.

The sport deserved better.

The CBS folks ought to take a look at the WEC card on the cable network Versus on Sunday to see how an MMA show is supposed to be put together. They’ll learn from watching that show how to introduce the viewers to the fighters but not drag the show on like a book that goes on 200 pages too long.

They’ll see quality fights between trained and competitive MMA fighters.

Hopefully, CBS didn’t manage to turn off a large segment to the country to what is a classic and compelling sport.

There’s no question, though, that CBS didn’t do MMA any favors Saturday.
