My thoughts on the fights this weekend:
EliteXC -
Production was doo doo. The entrances made me feel like I was watching a pro wrestling match, not martial arts. I don't need fireworks or busta rhymes or backup dancers to be entertained.
I've decided that I'm in love with Gina Carano. Everyone needs to chill about her not making weight, sure, she was 4 lbs over, but I think that at minimum 6-7 lbs are tied up in her headlights, so to speak

Weight wasn't a factor in this fight. Gina is a hard hitter and I'm actually surprised that they didn't stop the fight a few punches earlier.
The Kimbo fight was fixed. Any legitimate referee would have stopped the fight when Kimbo was on his back and left about 30 elbows go unanswered.
WEC -
The Torres fight was great, sucks that it was stopped, though, safety first. I think Torres would have pulled it off anyway but props to both fighters, I want to see a lot more of each of them.
I was rooting for Pulver but Faber has proven that he's a beast. I've noticed a change in Faber's attitude, seems less cocky as before. Hopefully he's got a publicist now to let him know that he has been coming off as a douchebag in interviews for past fights.
I hope that we haven't seen the last of Jens Pulver. He could probably wreck shop in the 155 division of the WEC?
