well i do know why it was closed it was because the thread starter had enought of people tell him he had spent his money badly and his filters were over kill so he asked for the thread to be close

well i also know nothing about sumps and love eheim filter i probably wouldnt have used 20 x 2080 but would have used 10

i have a 350 gal now and i run 2 x 2080s 2 x 2078s and 2 x 2252s my tank is stocked tight and the water is great

you will not have much filter cleaning to do just pop the the filter tops and change the white pads every 6 months thats all i do to my 2080s

i feel sorry for this guy he has set up a very nice tank the way he wants and all people have done inclueding mods is bash him :(

its a great looking tank with great filteration its your money your set up so do as you want

this guy was bashed real bad

he paid good money for a great set up and all everyone done includeing mods was rip him apart i can see why he asked for it to be closed

No mod or person ever bashed him. But if you post your setup on a public forum you're allowing it to be critiqued, and most of the people were just trying to help him out. I have nothing wrong with people who have huge disposable income but before anyone knew that people were just trying to save him some $$ and inform him he was using more than needed.

He also almost started a flame war with the mod that was trying to give him advice. He asked for it to be closed and it should have been before it got out of hand.
 
still sad if you ask me

their are lots of diffrent ways of setting up a tank sump or canister filter

does this mean anyone who uses more than 1 x 2080 or multi pro3s is wrong and we all must use a sump on a big tank

the guy spent thousands of $$$ on his set up the thread started of cool with people telling him thats it was sweet

then bang he was getting ripped into :screwy:

No one really ripped into him.. Some said it was overkill and explained why he didn't need that many filters from an in depth standpoint. Everyone even those who thought the filtration was excessive loved the tank. I'd like you to qoute one post that really "ripped" into him..
 
i can understand how that guy feel he didnt know what a sump is and so he got canister like me i still dunno how to work a sump i would have done the same thing
