Yeah tbh Wyldfa seems like a whiney little kid in that thread, going kinda nuts knocking his achievements. That guy's hard work got kinda bashed with everyone being low to him, it's not like his fish are in danger from it or anything. He must have some kinda superjob to do that, and work very hard and it put a downer on it.... and then Wyld closed it... power gets to some peoples' heads.

He requested it to be closed. It's not like it was just closed for no reason.
 
There is a huge difference with giving out advice to help EDUCATE people vs. it being received in a positive or negative way.
 
i agree this was out of line! that is a awesome setup!

In his defense that's only part of the qoute... the rest is "in that eheim filters, as a whole, are designed to run many months without maintenance." After he was telling WyldFya he didn't know what he was talking about. Mods are people. They should try to be more gracious than the rest of us but well if you grab a bull you're gonna get the horns.

The original poster was demeaning when someone was trying to give him good advice. And he refused to except it by telling WyldFya he was wrong. WyldFya handled it very well and tried not to step on any toes before the curtain call.

A big tank and excess of money makes no excuse for ignorance.
 
this guy is putting some massive fish in that tank whos to say the 20 x pro3s wont work better than a sump

this tank will have

34000 lph water turn over and 260 liters of media it would have to be a big sump to cover that

eheim also say each pro3 is good for a 1200l tank so times that buy 20 and the pro3s are good for a 24000 liter tank

my rule was you can never have enought filteration :D

everyone was telling this guy its going to take ages to clean all them filter i would say 3-4hrs every 4-6 months thats nothing

people are saying hes crazy but i would do the same but on a smaller scale say 10 x pro 3s
 
You can't really flame the guy. Not like he's gonna mistreat what ever lucky fish going into that tank. Should have nice clean water and he doesn't have to worry about flooding from W/D while he's away for months at a time as long as somebody feeds the fish and do WCs.
