jason, on the link they say baby food is a big no no... but if mixed with CGD is it ok? or how else do i serve the CGD?

  1. Dang man,I typed a big dang thing up for you and my laptop whent off line and I lost it.:irked::irked::irked::irked::irked::irked::irked::irked::irked::irked::irked::irked::irked::irked::irked::irked::irked::irked::irked:shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhttttttttttttttttt!!!!!!anyways,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,each time you feed your guy,use less and less of the baby food, you get a t spoon or so of the powder, slowly add a little water and stir it with the tip of a knife or something.Just add enough water to make it more like a paste or the consistency of baby food, its ok if its a bit liquidy.Do this in a very tiny bowl or dish.I feed dusted crix 2 times a week or so too.I think its better to feed variety. So yeah, add the powder to the dish, slowly add drops of water and stir.Start cutting back on the baby food and increase the amount of cgd.I leave it in the cage a few days but always check for mold. They usually start eating it on the next day.Start feeding some crix too if you dont. Here is a cool vid of one sneaking down to eat the cgd at night.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5Nm8WsNA8SU
  2. Sorry the thread is getting off topic a bit but I think its ok for just this.

You may not need to use so much if your guy is little. You will get used to what he wants.

her behaviour seems normal she is out exploring and even climbing around and jumping

just cause the tail is limp doesnt mean mbd most cresteds get it cause they tend to hang upside down on the glass or top of the tank witch cause there tail to hang when this happens they loss alote of there muscle mass in there tails

look for soft jaw (make your gecko bite you if its a weak bite then it has soft jaw there are other ways to check but this is more acurate)
also look fore curled up toes those are two sure singns of mbd
(just remember they curl toes when they walk so look when there basking)

also make sure you have a moist hide for her to lay her eggs and i would soak her once a week to help with the eggs also make sure shes getting tons of calcium

Awesome, I'm happy for you ;)

Im maybe freaking out a bit:nilly:but that foto of her putting her tail in that strange way really worries me:( Why? Because in my experience when a female lizard is having dificultys laying eggs they often do that:nilly::nilly:Leave her alone all you can she needs time and lots of peace to get out of this alive. Going to the vet unless is a really experienced herp vet its kind of futtile but if she doesant lay in the next copple of days go. The fact that she is "behaving normaly" like you say is also very alarming because unless she layed already and you dint notice that could mean she has passed the time in wich she is physicaly prepared to lay:eek: Give her high protein and calcium food like dusted crickets if she acepts them, keep her warmer than usual in a calm envoirement in subdued ligth and hope for the best. Lots of hiding places will help. By the way ho told you she was pregned? You saw it or the seler said that to you:confused:

I think the spine thing is just floppy tail because she is always on the wall upside down :D im only smiling because from what ive read floppy tail is pretty common. but i tried to check her calcium sacs this morning and she wouldnt open her mouth for me and her jaw is strong

the dealer told me, but she ate a small horn worm and some cgd with extra calcium last night, and as i said shes alone in a 65 tall with all sorts of hiding spots so shell be fine there

i got her a black heat light and the tank is in the 77-79 range
